Harvest Supv Production
Location: Storm Lake, IA
SUMMARY: This position will be assigned to the 1st Shift Harvest Floor. The position is responsible for the supervision of production Team Members, for quality, safety, and any additional assignments deemed appropriate by management for this position. The individual in this position must work closelywith the management team in achieving objectives; accept full accountability, assignments and day-to-day department responsibility; all other duties as determined by management. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: 2 plus years' experience in the meat industry; must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques; food safety; product yields, and USDA regulations. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills helpful. Supervisory: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various production tasks or activities and ensuring compliance with all human resource and safety policies, food safety and sanitation. Special Skills: Team Leader, problem solving; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork. Travel: Minimal
Excellent attendance = 5 points or less
Good Disciplinary record = no written warnings + suspension within the last 12 months.
Excellent safety record = no safety violations (at written warning or above) within the last 12 months.
